Microsoft released multiple emergency updates to Windows 10 version 2004, 20H2, and 21H1 in recent days to address vulnerability CVE-2021-34527 , better known as the PrintNightmare vulnerability. Updates KB5003690, KB5004760, and KB5004945 , among others, were released in quick succession to prevent the remote code execution vulnerability via Windows’ Print Spooler feature. Shortly thereafter, problems appeared when using certain label and receipt printers from at least Zebra and Dymo, Bleeping Computer reports . The solution for this is distributed via the Known Issue Rollback system , which can take up to 24 hours.
Incidentally, it is still unclear whether the PrintNightmare vulnerability has been fixed with the patch from Microsoft.
