Corsair introduces new DDR5 memory sets for desktops. The company is introducing kits with 48, 96 and 192GB of memory capacity, consisting of individual dimms of 24 or 48GB. The sets are priced from $185.
Corsair makes the new kits available in its Vengeance DDR5 series with and without rgb. The company is making the memory kits available with speeds of 5200 or 5600 megatransfers per second, with latencies of cl38 and cl40, respectively. The kits are intended for use in desktop PCs and workstations. The sets support Intel XMP 3.0 overclocking profiles.
Corsair says it will release the 48 and 96GB sets immediately. The former kits consist of two 24GB dimms and are available from $ 185 for a DDR5-5200 variant without RGB. Converted and with VAT, this amounts to 210 euros. An upgrade to DDR5-5600 or sets with RGB LEDs each cost an additional $10. A combination of both costs an additional $20. The 96GB sets consist of two dimms of 48GB DDR5 each. These will be available from $ 380, which works out to about 432 euros with VAT.
The 192GB sets will be released on March 7, Corsair reports. Those sets then consist of four dimms of 48GB each. Only DDR5-5200 variants with or without RGB will be available. The company is not yet sharing suggested retail prices for these 192GB kits.
