Ubisoft is not going to E3 anyway and will host its own game event in June

Game maker Ubisoft will not be present at the E3 game fair this year, even though the company said it would in February. Instead, the company is hosting a Ubisoft Forward Live event on June 12, around E3 time.

“While we initially planned to have an official presence at E3, we’ve since decided to go in a different direction”, says a Ubisoft spokesperson to VideoGamesChronicle. The company has not given a reason for this decision and says it will provide more details about the Forward Live event, which will take place in Los Angeles, just like E3

The The 2023 edition of E3 is the first physical edition of the show since 2019. Ubisoft said at the end of February to GamesIndustry.biz to participate in E3. Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony not attending this year, other major game companies have not yet confirmed their presence. This year’s game fair is June 13-16. The organization behind the exchange said in early March according to VGC that unannounced AAA companies will be present at E3.
