Apple plans to sell the Vision Pro outside the United States after WWDC in June, according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. In recent days, the company has provided training to international employees so they can demonstrate the device to customers.
Apple has according to Gurman ‘hundreds’ of employees from Germany, France, Australia, Japan , South Korea, Singapore and China to its home base of Cupertino, California to learn how the company’s mixed reality glasses work so they can demonstrate the device to customers. It appears that Apple plans to release the Vision Pro at least in the above countries in the near future. It is not clear whether the headset will be released in all mentioned countries at the same time.
Earlier this year, Apple announced that it wants to sell the Vision Pro outside the United States later in 2024 and Tim Cook confirmed that the glasses released in China Although interest in the United States surrounding the release of the headset was very high, the number of appointments for demos in physical stores has now fallen significantly, according to Gurman. By releasing the Vision Pro in more countries, Apple would like to counteract the declining interest. However, the price of mixed reality glasses will be a major obstacle for many consumers. The glasses cost 3500 dollars. Apple is reportedly working on a cheaper version of the glasses, but they won’t appear until 2026.
