iPads will get an OLED screen and there will be no new HomePod mini

Apple would like to provide iPad Pro models with an OLED screen next year. The iPad Pros now have an LCD or miniLED screen. On the other hand, there will be no new HomePod mini for the time being, Bloomberg reports.

Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman says according to 9to5Mac in the closed part of its newsletter that there is little innovation in the new iPad models this year, but that there will be a new design with OLED screens next year in the Pro models.

Although there is for years rumors are going about oled screens in Apple’s tablets, there is no news yet Model with OLED screen. iPhones and the Apple Watch, among others, have had OLED screens for years and Samsung has been equipping its more luxurious tablets with OLED screens for more than ten years. However, the largest iPad Pro has had a mini LED screen for a few years.

After the announced the new HomePod last week, users can’t count on a quick release of a new HomePod mini. Gurman says he knows nothing about the development of a successor to it. There are also now no new features in the more expensive HomePod that the mini is yet to get. Apple announced the HomePod mini in October 2020, but only released it in the Netherlands and Belgium last year.
