Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is getting a hardcore mode

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will soon have a hardcore mode. This mode is part of many previous Call of Duty titles. This game mode will probably be introduced when the second season comes out in three weeks.

Infinity Ward reports on Twitter that hardcore mode is coming soon. The developer does not say when exactly this mode will make its appearance, but that will be during the upcoming second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. That season was supposed to be released on February 1, but that recently became moved to February 15. New playing fields and weapons will then become available. In addition, Warzone 2, the battle royale part of the shooter, will have a new, smaller playing field.

The hardcore mode, among other things, scraps the usual head-up display that, for example, shows information on the screen of shooters about the number of bullets still in the game. warehouse is located. Furthermore, shooting teammates will actually deal damage and opponents will probably take a lot less bullets to outwit them; the time-to-kill is going down considerably.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II already got a mode last year that is very similar to the hardcore modes of old, called the Tier 1 playlist. In this playlist, players have less health and a limited head-up display, and friendly fire is active. At the time, this change was criticized as a pointless name change of the hardcore mode.
