Microsoft has started automatically updating the 21H2 version of the Windows 10 operating system to the 22H2 version. Previously, users had to download this version manually.
Windows 10 21H2 is still supported until June 13. From then on, no more security updates will be released for it. For that reason Microsoft says it all users who are still running this version will automatically install the update from now on. It’s not clear how long it will take for everyone to get the update. Microsoft also recommends Windows 10 users to move to Windows 11 if possible.
Windows 10 version 22H2 was released last November and is the latest version of the operating system. It is a fairly limited update, with small, new functions such as the possibility to have certain notifications shown by Concentration Aid. This version will be supported until October 14, 2025.
