OnePlus 11 and Nothing Phone (1) get Android 14 betas

The OnePlus 11 and Nothing Phone (1) are among the devices that can run the beta of Android 14 from this week. That has been announced by Google. Many brands that were still on board last year are no longer participating this year.

Nokia, ASUS, Sharp and ZTE did have phones last year that could install the beta of the next Android version, but they brands are no longer included this year. OPPO and Xiaomi are included, says Google. Xiaomi is the only one that has more than one phone in the beta program: the 13 Pro, 13 and 12T.

The phones are going running second beta of Android 14. This includes various camera improvements, such as Ultra HDR for 10-bit HDR images and the ability to send lossless audio via the USB port. Android 14 should be released in late summer or early fall.
