Samsung is going to make more different 200-megapixel cameras for smartphones

Samsung will make more different 200-megapixel sensors for smartphone cameras in the coming year. It already has a few sensors with that resolution on the market. The manufacturer also wants to sell more Exynos socs for midrange smartphones.

Samsung does not give details in its quarterly figures about how those 200-megapixel sensors should differ from each other. The manufacturer already has a few such sensors in its range, including the HP1 from last year’s Moto Edge 30 Ultra and Xiaomi 12T Pro and the HP3 that will presumably be in the Galaxy S23 Ultra .

It is unknown how Samsung wants to get more proprietary socs in midrange smartphones. The Galaxy S23 phones will probably receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon soc worldwide for the first time and no Exynos soc from Samsung itself, but unlike its predecessor, the A14 5G does have an Exynos soc .
