Security issue caused Twitter Circle posts to become public

Twitter says it had an issue last month that caused tweets intended only for private Twitter Circle groups to be seen by other users. It is not clear how many users were affected by the bug.

According to Twitter, it was a security problem and the problem has now been resolved. The social media company has contacted users believed to be affected by the issue and according to BleepingComputer explained that it had launched an investigation into the cause of the bug. However, the company has not yet shared details about the results of that investigation.

Twitter Circle came to market Summer 2022. This feature allows Twitter users to create a group of followers who can see their tweets. This group can contain up to 150 users.
